“In line with the most recent advice and, as ever, in order to safeguard the wellbeing of our audience, our supporters, players and staff, regrettably we have now cancelled the remaining performances of the 2019/20 Concert Season. We are all saddened to share this news but everyone here at the SCO is focusing on remaining positive and looking ahead to next Season when, more than ever, it will be our pleasure to be back on the concert stage, performing for our audiences.”

Principal Conductor Maxim Emelyanychev opens his final Season concert with Debussy’s intoxicating Prélude à l’après midi d’un faune. Louise Farrenc may not be a household name today, but her Third Symphony is a masterpiece that has too often been forgotten amongst the works of her male counterparts. It is big and ambitious, and was well admired by the likes of Berlioz and Schumann.
To complete the concert, Maxim springs onto the piano to direct Mozart’s tempestuous Piano Concerto in D minor, K466.

There are accessible toilets on level 2 next to the Gents toilet, adjacent to the Candleriggs Bar and on Level 5 next to the Club Room.

The cloakroom is located on the 1st floor next to the toilets. There is a £1 charge (only open for events or where a client has requested the facility)

On street, metered parking and nearby multi-storey.
Photography and video recording
At times, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
The public are only permitted to record and take photos where explicit permission has been granted in advance.
Free wifi
There is free public Wifi access. To connect, visitors have to register with City Halls Public Wifi which should pop up on their browser. After that visitors will only need their password for future uses.
