Minimal: Dance

Old Fruitmarket

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

This event is part of Minimal

Minimalism and Dance – a marriage made in heaven. Dance has many faces: drum and bass, ballet, DJs, street dance. The Smith Quartet has called on a stellar cast of composers to contribute short dance works for their new Dance album – they’ll be playing live and launching the album itself – expect tracks from the likes of Michael Nyman, Uri Caine, John Adams, Gabriel Prokokiev and Graham Fitkin.

Their performance will feature cutting edge visuals courtesy of the resident visual artists at The Arches’ Death Disco club night, Pointless Creations.
