Critics use words like “intoxicating” and “exuberant” when writing about Richard Egarr – especially for his Bach interpretations. On this day, he performs the great man’s music both as soloist and director of the Academy of Ancient Music.
He gets the day off to sterling start with a selection of the music Bach wrote whilst in Cöthen – including his own selection of Preludes and Fugues from The Well-Tempered Clavier.
