Jazz International presents Todd Gordon: The Sinatra Birthday Concert

City Halls : Recital Room

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Francis Albert Sinatra (born 12 December 1915) remains one of most influential figures in popular music. This concert features many of the great songs he introduced and popularised over his career which spanned almost 60 years.

Due to the popularity of the evening performance of this concert, this special matinee performance has recently been added – tickets are available now.

Sinatra aficionado Todd Gordon gives us his interpretations of American Songbook classics such as I’ve Got You Under My Skin, One for My Baby, Come Fly with Me, I Get a Kick Out of You plus, in keeping with the time of year, a few nuggets from Sinatra’s outstanding Christmas albums.

“Doing it his way, the ghost of Sinatra lives on in the work of one of his most polished admirers” (The Times)

“Gordon’s made the American songbook his own” (The Guardian)

“Impeccable choice of music… and Todd and his band interact wonderfully” (Sir Michael Parkinson)
