Ken Mathieson’s newest project, focusing on the music of Benny Carter, has been winning over audiences and critics alike.
His octet features the cream of Scottish classic jazz talent, joined tonight by the enormously gifted clarinettist and alto saxophonist Alan Barnes taking on Carter’s role. A rare chance to hear music by one of the great giants of swing to bop.
