Jazz International presents Bobby Wellins meets The David Patrick Trio

Bobby Wellins’ continued contribution to British jazz was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Scottish Jazz Awards in 2009.

Lesser known are his many collaborations with American jazz royalty (including Bud Powell and Elvin Jones) as well as after-hours jam sessions on Soho rooftops with other legendary players such as Sonny Rollins.

This unique performance will see Bobby join forces with the David Patrick Trio.

Bobby Wellins has one of the most beautiful tenor saxophone sounds in the history of the instrument. (The Observer)
