With the BBC SSO’s 75th Birthday on 3rd December appearing on the horizon, BBC Radio 3’s drive-time programme In Tune helps kick-start the anniversary celebrations. Sean Rafferty presents the programme which features a work by Ian Whyte, the orchestra’s founder, performances from soprano Rebecca Bottone, and a selection of pieces sung by the wonderful National Youth Choir of Scotland, conducted by its artistic director Christopher Bell. There will also be the first performance of a short orchestral piece from the pen of Scottish composer Edward McGuire.
Please note that this concert is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Please note that the originally advertised soloist Malin Christensson is indisposed. The BBC SSO is delighted that soprano Rebecca Bottone is able to take her place.
