With the forthcoming release of their Zama Zama…try your luck… album, Battlefield Band explore the greed, disasters, human resilience and victories inherent in the search and exploitation of different sources of wealth. After 30 years performing on the international stage, inspired by their rich musical heritage and fired by the strength of the modern Scottish cultural scene, this album illustrates that they continue to forge ahead as pioneers for contemporary Scottish traditional music. They return to Glasgow after a fantastic reception for their Celtic Connections Classic Album concert in January 2009.
