The BBC SSO, the leading supporter of new music in Scotland, presents another in its regular series of contemporary programmes for BBC Radio 3’s Hear and Now.

In this concert it focuses on the unique soundworld of world renowned Scottish composer, James Dillon. Dillon’s music is the product of a fertile creative imagination and this concert shows that creativity to its fullest.

BBC SSO Principal Viola Scott Dickinson is the soloist in Dillon’s Siorram, and a selection of his scores and works by Claude Vivier and Elliott Carter, are conducted by a rising star of the international music scene, Glaswegian Rory Macdonald.
