Internationally acclaimed singer and clarsach player Maggie MacInnes, voted Best Gaelic Singer of the Year at the BBC Scots Trad Music Awards in 2004, will be appearing in concert with two of Scotland’s finest musicians, Brian McAlpine (keyboards/accordian) and Anna Massie (guitar/ fiddle).
Maggie will be releasing her fifth solo album, A Fagail Mhiughalaidh (Leaving Mingulay), just in time for this concert. She will be performing material from the new album as well as a mix from previous recordings with songs and melodies ranging from the beautiful Gaelic songs which have been in her family for generations to traditional Scots songs and newly composed material.
