Scottish saxophonist, Tommy Smith, and Swedish pianist, Jacob Karlzon are two of Europe’s major jazz players, and their duo creates an extraordinary chemistry of like minded virtuosi.
Almost orchestral in its dynamic range and yet at the same time intimate and conversational, drawing on blues, gospel, folk, European impressionism and classic American jazz in creating huge melodic, rhythmical emotional impact which was somehow presented with unassuming bonhomie. (The Herald)
