As one of BBC Radio 3’s Composers of the Year, the bicentenary of Haydn’s death is being marked on air with performances of all 104 symphonies, and by 17 concerts of string quartets. The BBC SSO gets in on the act with this live broadcast of two contrasting symphonies, conducted by Ilan Volkov.

Please note that ths is a morning concert, with a prompt start at 11am. Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. Children under the age of 12 will not be admitted.
