RSNO 11:12 Season Beethoven Eight
Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Main Auditorium

Masked balls, singing blacksmiths and a fairy queen: Bizet’s operatic portrait of Scotland might not be very accurate, but it is filled with terrific tunes! Glasgow-born conductor Douglas Boyd brings his trademark verve to our latest musical salute to the Auld Alliance, and ends the night with Beethoven’s firecracker of a Symphony. First, though, there’s the pure romance of Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto with the sensational Ingrid Fliter and Fauré’s enchanting Pavane.
