Love Dvorák’s Symphony from the New World? Now discover his symphony from the old one! Dvorák simply couldn’t stop writing great tunes, and from pastoral opening to jubilant finish, his Sixth Symphony is the ultimate Bohemian rhapsody. Mendelssohn’s popular concerto, meanwhile, is the perfect showcase for Vadim Gluzman’s luscious violin sound, and as for the Hebrides Overture – well, no-one’s ever set Scotland to music quite so perfectly.
