The opening of this concert will be one you will never forget as Ireland’s most talented young percussionists join forces with Dame Evelyn Glennie to perform the vigorous fast section of Marimba Spiritual.
NYOI Symphony Orchestra is the highest performing ensemble of the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. In this, their first ever performance in Glasgow, they will perform the Schwantner Percusssion Concerto alongside one of the most eclectic musicians of our day, Evelyn Glennie, as she makes her return to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
Let the youth, determination and excitement of these young musicians, under the baton of Maestro Diego Masson, guide you through this fantastic programme finishing with Bruckner’s Romantic Symphony No 4.
