It wouldn’t be Christmas without classic family films, and the BBC SSO has assembled a bumper crop of soundtracks of those festive perennials and those blockbusters that always seem to pop up at Christmas time, including E.T, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Watership Down, The Sea Hawk and a selection of gems from the golden age of MGM Musicals.

To make the concert completely authentic, the orchestra is directed by one of the UK’s foremost authorities in film music, Grammy nominated composer and arranger John Wilson.
