Scottish Ensemble 40th Anniversary Season 09-10: Side By Side Concert and Workshops

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Join the Scottish Ensemble as they celebrate their 40th birthday in a concert that includes one of JS Bach’s most famous works, the Double Violin Concerto. You can also hear students from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama playing with them ‘Side by Side’ in Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis.

During the first half of the concert, there is a choice of workshops backstage. For older children (7 – 12), bring your violin, viola, cello or double bass and explore some of the musical ideas you will hear in the second half of the concert. For younger children (4 – 6, must be accompanied by an adult) come and explore some creative musical ideas in a hands on workshop. For further information visit www.scottishensemble.co.uk

The workshops are free to young ticket holders – reserve your place when booking your ticket.
