Viennese legends: it goes without saying that RSNO Conductor Emeritus Walter Weller knows a thing or two about Beethoven, so expect the exuberant Fourth Symphony to dance for joy. And Weller has two more Viennese delights up his sleeve – the colourful Sinfonietta by Mahler’s friend Zemlinsky, and Korngold’s gorgeous, Hollywood-inspired Violin Concerto. Played by Scotland’s favourite violinist, it’s sheer silken glamour from first note to last.
