Presented by Jamie MacDougall – renowned tenor, Radio Scotland presenter and a good, up-standing Dennistoun boy – presents a wealth of musical treats in a concert celebrating 75 Years of the BBC SSO! Joined by marvellous Irish soprano Ailish Tynan, the orchestra plays music by its founder, Ian Whyte, by one of Scotland’s great classical composers Hamish MacCunn, as well as orchestral gems from Sibelius, Shostakovich, Handel and Grieg. And watch out for the second half when the entire company let its hair down for a waltz through Hollywood and Broadway.
Please note that this concert is not suitable for children under the age of 8.
