BBC SSO Afternoon Performance III - Schumann at 200

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Brahms’s ‘Tragic’ Overture is tragic in name only, but his First Symphony is monumental in every sense of the word: huge, noble and dignified. As part of the BBC SSO’s Schumann at 200 birthday celebrations, Angela Hewitt, playing the composer’s hugely popular Piano Concerto, shows here why she is considered by many as one of the world’s leading soloists.
