BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra: Afternoon Performance 4: Finishing the Unfinished
City Halls : Grand Hall
Please Note: This is a past event event.
Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.
For this Afternoon Performance the BBC SSO “Finishes the Unfinished”. Violinist and conductor Andrew Manze, one of today’s most passionate and articulate advocates of early music, joins the orchestra to perform his orchestration of Bach’s Contrapunctus XVIII, his supposedly final, incomplete fugue. The orchestra also performs Schubert’s Symphony No.8, the ‘Unfinished’, featuring Brian Newbould’s realisation of the 3rd movement.
