Friday 9th May 2008, 9.30pm
Old Fruitmarket
Please Note: This is a past event event.

Four of the most brilliant players of Irish music combine to form supergroup Patrick Street.
They have been said to represent "the distillation of a crucial new strain that emerged in traditional Irish music some twenty-five years ago" (Tim O'Brien).
The band features two of the finest fiddlers of their generation John Carty and Kevin Burke (The Bothy Band) who are joined by Planxty veteran Andy Irvine, known for his unique arrangements, virtuoso bouzouki and mandolin playing. The line-up is completed by highly talented guitarist Ged Foley.
Tonight will feature music from the band's impressive thirty-year back catalogue as well as numbers from their new CD On the Fly.
Together the band are sure to capture the intricate flavours of Irish music and bring it alive onstage.
"Mesmerising… a must see for those who love Irish music." Billboard
Having taken part in a concert labelled "one of the festival's intimate gems" The Herald at Celtic Connections 2006, the Henrik Jansberg Band return to open the evening after being awarded best traditional album and best debut album at the Danish Music Awards.
Born into the Danish dance music tradition, Henrik Jansberg has the touch, the rhythm and the right swing, which is the essence of this music.
