The former Fringe Director, Director of Programmes at Scottish Television and creator of the Borders Book Festival in Melrose, these days makes the most of his university background in medieval history.

As one of the most exciting historians writing on Scotland today, Alistair Moffat is highly passionate about his native Borders homeland and brings a forgotten era of Scottish history to life through his writing.

Having written Kelsae, an interesting history of his home town and Arthur and the Lost Kingdoms - a fascinating study of King Arthur - Moffat's latest works include The Reivers and The Wall.

Publication of The Wall also ties in with a six-part networked television series presented by himself along with Paralympic Gold Medalist Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson.

An informative conversation with "a consummate weaver of historical fact and entertaining prose" (Southern Reporter).
