It just wouldn’t be the Festive Season without those marvellous movies that help soak up the turkey together with the memorable songs and scores they have inspired. This year the BBC SSO delivers a stocking full of them to City Halls in a variety of soft centres for all – from golden classics such as The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins to modern family favourites such as Home Alone and Close Encounters. These confections are all wrapped up together in one bumper seasonal package, conducted by Grammy-Award nominee John Wilson, presented by Jackie Bird and brought to you in glorious Techni-sound!
This glittering celebration of Christmas and the silver screen will be broadcast live on BBC Radio Scotland.
