Post-bop alto saxophonist and bandleader Bobby Watson first came to prominence as a member of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, eventually becoming Musical Director for the renowned group.

He has performed with, and arranged for, a who's who of the jazz world including luminaries such as Max Roach, Branford & Wynton Marsalis, Lou Rawls and Betty Carter.

He also composed the score for Robert de Niro's A Bronx Tale and was recently appointed Professor of Jazz at the University of Missouri.

With Homegrown support from the Alyn Cosker Trio.
