In Hear and Now, BBC Radio 3’s platform for new music, we present the best and most exciting modern music by some of the world’s leading composers.
Argentinian Osvaldo Golijov is considered to be one of the foremost composers in the world. His music brings together elements from Eastern and Western classical influences, melding them with Mediterranean folklore. In this portrait concert, the BBC SSO and Robert Spano show why this Grammy Award winning artist is so justly acclaimed.
This concert also includes the UK premiere of Michael Gandolif’s The Garden of Cosmic Speculations
