From the music of Kodály’s opera Háry János, comes this wonderful orchestral Suite. The work includes a notable solo part for the cimbalom, a traditional Hungarian variant of the hammer dulcimer. Charles Hazlewood is joined by the BBC SSO’s principal percussionist and world renowned cimbalom soloist, Heather Corbett.

Join us for a delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches followed by a selection of cakes, as well as unlimited tea or coffee for just £5.95 from 12.30pm before any Discovering Music or Afternoon Performance.
