Leading American conductor Robert Spano returns to Glasgow with Mahler's virtuoso tour de force, bursting with declamatory energy and emotion.

Benjamin Britten's atmospheric Serenade is sung by the acclaimed young tenor Andrew Kennedy, and also features the extraordinary artistry of former BBC Young Musician of the Year David Pyatt.

6:45pm Pre-concert Prelude: Mary Ann Kennedy in conversation with Robert Spano.

Post-concert Coda: Andrew Kennedy sings from Britten's On this Island.
