Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Main Auditorium

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

A firm Celtic Connections favourite, Eddi Reader returns to launch her eagerly-awaited new studio release, Peacetime.

Marrying her love of folk music with a crop of new contemporary material, the album features songs variously penned by regular collaborator Boo Hewerdine, the Trashcan Sinatras’ John Douglas and Eddi herself, together with classic ballads and love-songs. Along with Hewerdine,

Eddi’s band tonight will feature John McCusker, Alan Kelly, Ian Carr, Kevin McGuire and Roy Dodds.

Lauded by such illustrious fans as Paul Weller, Snow Patrol and Kate Rusby, singer-songwriter Declan O’Rourke is fast losing his status as one of Ireland’s best-kept secrets. His arresting vocals and vivid songwriting, showcased on his 2006 debut album, Since Kyabram, have drawn comparisons with US legends Jackson Browne and Bruce Springsteen.
