Steve Martland has been challenging the British music scene for over 20 years with his strikingly original, provocative and arresting works. The BBC SSO presents Martland’s best known and most energetic score, the symphonic poem Babi Yar. The second half of the concert features a performance by the Steve Martland band, giving Glasgow audiences a rare live setting for their uncompromising unique mix of classical, rock, jazz and minimalist music.
