Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Finnish conductor Leif Segerstam, one of the world’s greatest Sibelians, captures the composer’s evolutionary development in his last three symphonies. A rare opportunity to hear this music’s genesis in one evening and ending with the single-movement Seventh – a masterpiece of musical continuity.

Pre-Concert Prelude: Stephen Johnson and former BBC SSO Director, Hugh Macdonald anticipate the epic experience of hearing Sibelius’s Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Symphonies in one concert.

Post-Concert Coda: Stephen Johnson and BBC SSO Director Gavin Reid reflect on this Sibelius symphony cycle. They are joined by conductor Leif Segerstam for his views on performing the music of Sibelius.
