Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

The World’s Ransoming is the first part of James MacMillan’s epic orchestral Easter triptych, Triduum. Here it is paired with one of the great cornerstones of the Classical solo cello repertoire performed by the sensational young Frenchman, Gautier Capuçon. Bruckner’s Third Symphony is dedicated to his hero Richard Wagner and this expansive symphony is a homage to that composer’s art.

Pre-Concert Prelude: Richard Holloway, former Bishop of Edinburgh and current Chair of the Scottish Arts Council, talks about music and spirituality with BBC SSO Director, Gavin Reid.

Post-Concert Coda: Cellist Gautier Capuçon plays solo works by JS Bach.
