John Williams and Richard Harvey have collaborated closely on musical projects over the last twenty years, showcasing their shared deep interest and passion for the variety of musical cultures in the world with a ‘World Tour’ programme that includes African, South American and Chinese influenced sets.

John Williams is well-known for his wide-ranging approach, which includes appearances playing electric rock guitar and folk music. He maintains an extensive interest in contemporary music, and has performed and recorded nearly the entire standard guitar repertory, plus a large quantity of transcriptions, several by his own hand.

Partnered by Richard Harvey, a prolific composer, occasional conductor and skilled performer on an exotic variety of percussion and instruments that can be blown, plucked, keyed, bowed, beaten and ‘programmed’. It is all in keeping with the celebrated diversity of the duo’s interests with music from Madagascar to China, Latin America to Ireland and solo work by contemporary composers.
