Scottish Chamber Orchestra 2007/08 Season Nelson & Napoleon

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Early this Season Thierry Fischer’s concert paired a Haydn Mass with a Beethoven symphony; to close it Olari Elts directs a blockbuster sequel.

These two pieces were written in the first years of the 19th century and, with Beethoven inspired by Napoleon while Haydn praises Nelson, they find the two composers on opposing sides of the Napoleonic Wars.
