Scottish Chamber Orchestra 2007/08 Season Sibelius & Tchaikovsky

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Centuries of violence and warfare bloodied Russian-Finnish history. Yet, musically, the two nations had plenty in common: for example, Tchaikovsky was a strong influence on the young Sibelius.

Popular works by both men share the stage here, revealing a range of other influences from Shakespeare and Mozart to folklore and Nationalism.
