Scottish Chamber Orchestra 2007/08 Season Adventurer - Classic meets Jazz

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

Fusing classical and jazz styles can make for memorable, edge of the seat music-making. When two worlds collide, sparks can fly. No-one beats Turnage at this game. One secret of his success is that he works only with the finest musicians, and knows how to make the most of them.

Sensational bassist John Patitucci (last heard with the SCO in Turnage’s Scorched) takes the solo in this brand new piece.

6.30pm Pre-Concert Talk (free to ticket holders): Mark-Anthony Turnage in conversation with Svend Brown.

This concert is linked to the http://www.glasgowconcerthalls.com/whatson/event/65715">SCO/GCE Education: Composition Workshop with Mark-Anthony Turnage and John Patitucci.
