Returning to Scotland following world tours and a critically acclaimed sell out run at the 2004 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, The Soweto Gospel Choir perform an inspirational repertoire of tribal, traditional and popular African gospel, both written by the Choir and arrangements of international favourites. The 26-strong group draw on the best talent from the many churches and communities, in and around Soweto, performing earthy rhythms and rich a capella harmonies in eight different languages.
Nothing can prepare you for this riot of exuberance and depth of emotion – and you don’t have to be a believer to be inspired.
