Please Note: This is a past event event.
Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.
As part of a festival celebrating the cultural links between two of Europe’s great industrial port cities, Genoa and Glasgow, the Guarneri del Gesù violin of virtuoso Niccolo Paganini makes a rare concert appearance. Clio Gould, Director Emeritus of the Scottish Ensemble and leader of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, is given the privilege of playing the ‘Cannone’ which dates back to 1743. Other festival events will take place at the RSAMD and The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall where the violin will be the centrepiece of an exhibition.
