Scottish International Piano Competition Final

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

For eleven days in September 2007, the city of Glasgow will once again play host to some of the world’s most gifted young pianists coming to compete for prizes worth more than £60,000 in total – and the recognition that could set them on the road to a successful international career.

Of the selected forty competing, four semi-finalists chosen by the Jury, chaired by John Wallace, Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, will go forward to the Final, held in the City Halls, where they will play a concerto of their own choice, accompanied by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under its renowned former principal conductor James Loughran.
