Violinist Vadim Gluzman returns, following his sensational RSNO debut last Season, to play one of the most demanding and virtuosic works in the repertoire, Brahms’ Violin Concerto. “One enjoys getting hot fingers playing it, because it’s worth it!” said Joseph Joachim, who gave its first performance.

Occupying two of the top three positions in Classic FM’s Hall of Fame, Ralph Vaughan Williams is arguably now Britain’s most popular composer. His Fourth Symphony is his most powerful symphonic utterance – a pure and riveting experience!

6.45pm Pre-concert talk: Peter Oundjian in conversation with RSNO Chief Executive Simon Woods
