Sir Roger Norrington is one of the music world’s true personalities. Champion of the historically informed performance movement, he literally changed the way we hear Beethoven’s Symphonies and the music of the 19th century. He brings not only his expertise, but also his humour and great skills as a communicator to Beethoven’s and Schumann’s Second Symphonies. Expect both works to sound with taut expression, clarity of texture and pure joy.

6.45pm Pre-concert talk with Jeremy Fletcher (RSNO Associate Principal Cello)
