Drama and Virtuosity

Rich, lyrical and seamless, Glazunov’s Violin Concerto is held in high regard by violinists and audiences alike for its demanding virtuosity – packed full of astounding technical effects – as well as its many warm melodies.

Borodin’s action-packed Second Symphony is based, as with his famous opera, on an epic 12th Century East Slavic poem, recounting the campaign of the Russian Prince Igor against the Polovtsian tribes.

6:45pm Pre-concert talk with Elita Bungard (RSNO Assistant Principal Violin).

Tickets: £32, £24, £17.50, £13, £10
