Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, one of the greatest orchestral showpieces of the last century. It forms a fitting climax to this stunning programme which begins with a specially commissioned virtuoso opener from Piers Hellawell. The National Youth Choir of Scotland, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has become one of our finest musical assets, and their superbly-trained voices will be on glorious display in one of the most exciting of modern choral works, Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms.
