Stéphane Denève brings his exceptional talents to Tchaikovksy’s most passionate symphony. The result is sure to be impeccable, fiery and full of energy. Leading young oboist Alexei Ogrintchouk is soloist in Strauss’ last concerto, a bitter-sweet elegy for a bygone age.
