In her 20-year career with Dervish, and recently in transatlantic super-trio The Unwanted, Cathy Jordan has secured her place in Ireland’s traditional pantheon, while also embracing Americana and contemporary material. Tonight launches her long-awaited solo debut All the Way Home, also featuring newly composed songs, with guests including Scotland’s Eddi Reader, Väsen’s Roger Tallroth, Lars Andreas Hueg on tuba and Mike McGoldrick on whistles and flute.
Banjo virtuoso Damien O’Kane’s 2010 debut Summer Hill also “adds his name to the proud history of Ulster singers” (fRoots), while new release The Mystery Inch captures him session-style with guitarist David Kosky.
