David Ell announced himself as a solo artist with his debut album Wreckingball, a record full of dark, powerful and edgy pop rock songs, combining subtle guitar and piano arrangements with David Ell’s distinctive haunting vocals. “Epic”, “a big big sound” , “lush and full” are just some of the reviews his debut album earned and as a songwriter David Ell “draws favourable comparison with great songwriters like U2 and Radiohead”. David followed this up with his 2011 release, Dance of the Furies. Teaming up with Edinburgh producer Iain McKinna, he has created a stirring instrumental soundtrack fusing classical, electronica and rock influences. David Ell is currently working on an acoustic album of new songs being played at solo gigs, due for release in 2012 and also sings and plays in new band Echofires. An EP of their tracks is in the pipeline.

Up and coming 19 year old Scottish singer/songwriter, Kelsey Hunter, recorded her first self composition at only 15 years old. After winning the Yamaha sponsored “MakeItBreakIt” competition at LIPA in 2008 (with See That Smile) she appeared on Real Radio and Clyde 1 and performed at the 2008 Clyde1 Cash for Kids Lunch in Glasgow. In 2009 she started work on songs for her first album with London based production and writing team The Nexus and has recently also worked with Crispin Hunt, n’Glish and Ricky Ross. Acoustic performances at the prestigious Bedford in Balham, Regal Room in Hammersmith and supporting Hurts and Clare Maguire were last year’s highlights. Kelsey is presently putting a new band together to showcase her latest songs.
