BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra Afternoon Performance 2 - Stravinsky's 'Firebird'

City Halls : Grand Hall

Please Note: This is a past event event.

Don't worry we have plenty more current events to choose from.

The huge orchestra required for Stravinsky’s gorgeous fairytale ballet The Firebird will definitely make this concert an unmissable event! Matthias Pintscher, a highly-regarded Stravinsky authority, will bring it vividly to life and display the BBC SSO’s resources to the full. The Double Concerto by Brahms will give young soloists Alexandra Soumm and Nicolas Altstaedt a chance to show off their combined skills.

Join us for a delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches followed by a selection of cakes, as well as unlimited tea or coffee for just £6.75, from 12.30pm at any of our Afternoon Performance or Discovering Music events. Tea and Symphony is served in the Candleriggs Bar/Recital Room at City Halls and spaces are always in high demand, so be sure to pre-book when you reserve your tickets at the City Halls Box Office.
