Minimal: Glass at 75 (Part II) Philip Glass in Recital

Glasgow Royal Concert Hall : Main Auditorium

Minimal is part of the Glasgow Music 2011/2012 Season

Last season Svend Brown introduced a major Minimalism strand to Glasgow Music’s programming, and this season MINIMAL returns to celebrate a very special occasion – the 75th birthday of one of the genre’s founding fathers, Philip Glass. Glasgow Music will devote two mini-festivals to his work – MINIMAL: Glass At 75 (Part I) in October 2011 and MINIMAL: Glass At 75 (Part II) in May 2012, the latter of which featuring two performances by the hugely influential composer and musician including this recital.

The composer will be at the piano for a duo concert with violinist Tim Fain for an evening of music that looks back to some earlier work and presents some brand new work alongside it.

Please Note: This evening's programme runs for approximately 85 minutes with no interval.

Tickets:  £25, £20
