The ScottishPower Pipe Band are delighted to ‘take stage’ at the Royal Concert Hall here in our home town of Glasgow for what is undoubtedly the most prestigious concert of the pipe band calendar.
Excited about making our debut appearance in this pre ‘Worlds’ concert, loyally hosted and promoted by Phoenix Honda Glasgow Skye Pipe Band, we aim to offer something for everyone and promote the huge talents within the band on this great stage.
The ScottishPower Pipe Band has for many years enjoyed success at the top of Grade 1 and have been considered and quoted by many to be the ‘Sleeping Giants’.
Throughout the evening we hope you will be drawn into the performances and acquire a sense of the ENERGY, drive, and commitment that this band has for competing and performing at the highest level.
We are privileged tonight to be accompanied by some excellent musicians, including one of Scotland’s finest folk performers, Chris Stout from Shetland, who has worked enormously in arranging and writing the fantastic and innovative arrangements and backing to accompany our music.
