‘Shall brothers be…’

Singer and broadcaster Jamie MacDougall joins the pupils of Hutchesons’ Grammar School in a music celebration of internationalism and brotherhood.

The school’s close links with Nürnberg in Germany and Radomsko in Poland are reflected in a programme that opens with Wagner’s overture Die Meistersinger and includes the gorgeous Larghetto from Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2. There’s celebratory music too, by John Rutter, Alexander L’Estrange and a rousing Burns-inspired finale, arranged especially for the occasion, bringing together Hutchesons’ massed choirs, orchestra, pipes and drums.

Please note that this is a re-scheduled event and was originally scheduled for Monday the 6th of Dec '10.
